The owner met us at the agreed time and was exceptionally friendly and chatty (too chatty for us, but we know she meant well). Checking out was very straightforward, too, as we simply needed to leave the key in the door. The owner lives in one of the apartments in the building.
The apartment was very bright with high ceilings, so even during a very hot week, it was cool enough at night. Lovely hardwood floors and lots of windows.
The location - the reason we had chosen this place - was super! Very close to the beach (5-7 minutes walk through a small wooded area) and the town (10-12 minutes walk) centre but very quiet in a residential area.

Everything was just great. We stayed upstairs in apartment 5. The location is also ideal. Very short walk to beach, stores...including bakeries and grocery store, restaurants, Vineta outdoor theater, concert at central point of accessing the Seebrücke. Cute church right there...also offering concerts. Very quiet.
Don't forget, if you rent Villa Beethoven, it really comes with a piano and guitar and even with an instructional packet how to learn the instrument as an adult. The set-up is with headphones, so that nobody in the apartment or neighbours would be disturbed.
We had all our meals on the charming little balcony which gets just enough shade due to the beautiful tall trees behind the house. They also provide privacy from other properties.
The apartment really is equipped in a way that goes beyond all expectations.
There is not enough space here to write more, but I want to add again, the location is lovely quiet...and if people don't like bird song or church bells, the closed windows can block out the sound.
