Its our first time to stay in a holiday park and were very excited to spend 5nights at Ingenia. The location is really good, its very close to everything, 8mins drive from the shopping centre and just 5mins walk from a Bowling Club that serves pretty good meals. Attractions and beautiful beaches were not that far and theres plenty of things to do for family. The facilities at the park were good, we love the indoor pool and my kids had heaps of fun at the jumping pad and making new friends. Its truly is a fun place for family!
Now the downside, I was really dissapointed when we arrived at our cabin which is Kentia 24 because its not cleaned properly. There were molds in the bathroom ceiling,shower door, window blinds, lots of finger prints and stains on walls and door which u can tell that has not been wiped for awhile. When you also enter, the cabin doesnt smell good especially the main bedroom! And when I looked around i found the source of the smell, it was the vacuum cleaner put inside the closet! Theres also a mop and bucket inside! I was shocked to see that of all places it was put there inside the bedroom closet.
Also some of the pans were not washed properly there were still remnants of food there. The drawers for the cutlery were dirty and dusty that I have to wipe and cleaned it. I am not a clean freak as I understand things cant be perfect but the condition of the cabin is really not great especially we are paying $3700 for 5nights. And I have two little kids that I dont want to get sick. I have to buy some spray to clean the place and also an air freshener to get rid of the moldy smells and that vacuum needs to be replaced as it smells so bad. It stinks the place after using it that I have to spray the whole cabin.
We do like the place and its location, the staffs were nice and friendly and we meet some lovely permanent residents there too. Also Port Stephen is such a beautiful place that we would love to visit again!
