I think the pricing of camping has gone up a lot over the last 4 years more than my income increase. I think lower income earners are now finding it harder to afford camping.

It was great to have a place to go where we could take our dog with us. We have never taken him away with us before so it was an interesting experience.
The cottage is clean and has all the facilities that we needed inside. The grounds are very large ( approximately 5 acres). The bathroom was renovated and was very nice and clean . The hosts made sure the house was well stocked, providing everything one would need, such as mops, brooms, sponges, cleaning products, plastic wrap, aluminium foil, baking paper etc.
It was great not having to go out and buy these items.
We had a few issues with various items in the house ( hairdryer and tv) but they were attended to immediately. The owners, Jaqueline and Gavin, are lovely people to deal with and live on the property, so they were very responsive.
There were not many people around as the cottages are 12 minutes drive from Torquay, 10 minutes from Angelsea and 5 minute drive from the beaches, so it was very peaceful.
I liked that it is in the middle of various towns so we could choose where to go.
Kangaroos came to visit the property every night.

Laurel and Sue were lovely hosts, very welcoming and made the best breakfast each morning. My room was so well appointed with a relaxed provincial style which I love. The bed was so cosy and comfortable and I loved walking out onto my veranda to relax. The location was excellent, just a short walk to the beach.

The property was quirky and fun, very well-equipped with everything you could wish for and tastefully decorated. We didn’t use the separate lounge room but it looked as if it would have been cosy, especially with the log burner lit. Neither were we able to join the yoga class but made use of the yoga mats provided for a quick stretch before we left. The coffee machine was great and the milk in the fridge and chocolates on the bed were nice touches. The bed was large and comfy.

We recently stayed at Pierview Apartment in Lorne, and it was an unforgettable experience. The location is outstanding—right near the pier with breathtaking ocean views from every room, including all three bedrooms and the lounge. You can easily walk along the coastal path into the town center, which adds to the convenience and charm of the stay.
In town, the supermarket offers a great selection of local treats and fresh products, perfect for those wanting to experience the best of what the area has to offer. Although on the pricier side, the quality is absolutely worth it.
The apartment itself was spotless, and the kitchen was well-equipped with plenty of crockery and cutlery, making it easy to prepare meals if you choose to stay in.
Picking up the keys in town was quick and hassle-free. Another highlight was the fisher bar at the pier—a great spot with good vibes, cheap beer, and an ideal place to relax after a day of exploring.
We thoroughly enjoyed our stay at Pierview Apartment and highly recommend it to anyone looking for stunning views, a convenient location, and a comfortable, well-maintained space.

Great location. Loved the animals around the area and the river next to the park. Great to be able to watch the sunrise from the beach. Cabin was clean and large. Wonderful to see the stars in the sky and have toast marshmallows by a fire.
