We loved the peaceful location, just a few minutes walk away from the lake and the bus stop. The apartment was spacious, airy, very well equipped and comfortable. We loved the chickens and the friendly dog. The summer card was excellent and meant that we really explored the area.

The location was exceptional. It's on the quieter end of the lake where it's easy to access both the lakeside footpath and swimming. Having the campsite opposite was helpful for its lakeside restaurant (open from 8am daily except Tues) and small store selling fresh bread rolls from 7.30am. It's a pleasant 40 minute walk into the town of Zell am See, or a short drive or bus ride - bus stops right outside the house and the owner gave us a visitors' card which included free bus travel. The owner was extremely friendly and helpful, and the house really spacious, warm and comfortable. A beautiful terrace and small garden too.
Completely renovated in 2016, Pension Max is just 50 metres from Lake Zell and 100 metres from the pedestrian zone of Zell am See with its many restaurants and shops.
