De locatie van het hotel is enorm goed, midden in de stad, dichtbij verschillende musea, monumenten, Train Street, het railway station en eetgelegenheden. Het personeel was erg vriendelijk. Het ontbijt was heerlijk en werd vers bereid, er werd zelfs extra aangeboden. Het is een familiebedrijf en dat voel je aan de warmte en zorg. Jammer dat we maar 1 nacht verbleven.

Nice lighting. Very quiet in the night, as it's tucked away from the main street. A lot of cafes and eateries nearby. Washing machine was great, they sell detergent at the reception. The city view was pretty decent, you can see a small part of the lake (from the room on 7th floor). Good kitchen supplies, we were able to cook for a few days, mostly boiled stuff (non-stick pan was not there) and salads. No mold smell, good water pressure. Highly recommend!

The host and here family are very helpful. I had no issues. In addition, I was able to store my bags while exploring the areas around Hanoi. The apartment was very comfortable with everything I needed. I didn't cook, but the kitchen was available. There's also a washing machine with detergent that was a must for me as I was training daily. Very comfortable bed and pillows, strong AC. The location is great. Walking distance to the lake to enjoy fantastic sunsets and Truc Bach. My room was accessible by a spiral staircase, which wasn't an issue for me. It isn't soundproof, but the area is quiet, so I slept well.

Enough basic dishes and cookware to make your own meals. We bought an inexpensive dish drainer, a few more cooking utensils, and a couple of extra dish towels as we stayed for 10 weeks. Close to Lotte Mall with a large supermarket in the basement. Also, a small WinnMart down the alley--a few steps out the door. Try Jewel Diner down the road. Several bus stops nearby. The city busses are an inexpensive way to get around. We found that Google Map was usually very accurate in routes and times, often better than the Hanoi Bus app. We are headed back to Hanoi for another month and will stay at Joy Apartment Tay Ho again!
