Decent breakfast provided; accommodation was very comfortable even having a modern feel to it, very close to the beach, and shops. Host is very welcoming and polite made things much easier. Overall fantastic.

Lovely place with lovely hosts- I really enjoyed the lovely porch and the company of the dog Mac. Situated in Opononi, 1.8 km from Opononi Beach, Hokianga Haven features a restaurant and sea views. This beachfront property offers access to a patio, free private parking and free WiFi. We stayed on the basis of self catering. What we loved about the property was that it exceeded our expectations. The position is wonderful with immediate access to the beach. Whilst there are very few facilities for us in this location (it didn’t matter as that’s why we chose to stay there) there was a hotel where we ate it and the two nights we were there and that was extremely good. There was a local shop where we go to get supplies. On a five week trip to New Zealand, this was one of the highlights!
