We had to drive from Stavanger to Flam, but the weather was bad, so we had to find a middle spot to stay overnight. But here we were pleasantly surprised, a perfect bungalow with a large living room and all the facilities were perfect. You can park your car anywhere around the house. More importantly, there is a very good supermarket nearby, with a wide range of items and not expensive. The small village is also very quiet and the scenery is very beautiful. Although we have lived in several major cities and famous attractions in Norway, but this small village has left the deepest impression on us. I hope to have the opportunity to live here again in the future.

The kitchen had everything one could possibly need and some more. Also there was a washing machine. Our apartment had a beautiful view of the lake and the mountains but this probably varies from one apartment to another (some of the apartments probably don't have much of a view as it is obstructed by the buildings). It was very quiet and pleasant stay. This is a perfect base for exploring nearby mountain nature with a car. Grocery store is in Røldal center just 5 minutes drive away. Underground parking with a lift straight up to the apartment floor was great on rainy weather. These apartments are located in the yellow building behind the main hotel building.

Got notified that they can't provide that kind of accommodation, but they will put us in hotel room with breakfast included. We accepted that offer, and were very satisfied at the end. The hotel is very pretty, cozy and warm, nicely decorated, with lovely hosts. Breakfast was very abundant and tasty. Location is magical, especially when it snows. Check in was from 16-20, so if you arrive earlier, you'll have to wait for the receptionist to open the hotel.
