Situated in Marang, the recently renovated Cozii Home Marang features accommodation less than 1 km from Marang Beach and 21 km from State Museum of Terengganu. This new hotel is located a 5 minute walk from the jetty for boats to Kapas Island. It is situated up a flight of stairs on the first floor, over a handy supermarket which sells everything one might need, such as noodles, beverages, toothpaste, deodorant etc. The hotel covers one floor with number of rooms radiating out from a common area where there is a fridge, microwave, hot plate and two kettles, so self catering is a possibility with the limited utensils provided, including a saucepan, cups, plates, forks, knives snd spoons. As a solo traveller I opted for the en suite-single room, which, though compact, had everything I required for my two night stay. The bed was the most comfortable I have experienced on my trip to date and the linen and towels were super clean. The bathroom was very clean with a powerful shower with hot water. I was very happy with the room and the amenities at this hotel and would happily stay there again of I return to Maran. Although Maran is a jumping off point for Kapas Island I would recommend staying a couple of days to look around Maran itself, which has some lovely walks that takes you through a number of picturesque fishing villages. Lastly, thanks to the host for allowing me check in early - it was much appreciated.
