Set in Beliatta, 11 km from Hummanaya Blow Hole, Village Paradise offers accommodation with water sports facilities, free private parking, pool with a view and a garden. It is one of the most beautiful places I have found in Sri Lanka. This unique property is located 4 km from the Rock Temple and 15 km from Tangalle. Here you are in absolute peace and nature. This place is perfect for unwinding and relaxing. The animal kingdom in the immediate area is impressive. Small, curious moss-covered water turtles swim in the lake and water buffaloes can be seen in the distance. Across the lake a peacock has its nest in the tree and there are beautiful birds to observe. The villa is newly built and therefore the entire furnishings are new. There are huge glass fronts with curtains that you can open to be directly in nature. The food was absolutely fresh and tasted excellent. I can recommend fish curry and shrimp :-) The host was very friendly and helpful. I can absolutely recommend this place to enjoy the real nature and relax.

Situated in Tangalle and only 700 metres from Marakkalagoda Beach, Star Beach Villa features accommodation with sea views, free WiFi and free private parking. Quality exceeding the price! The villa is spacious and really clean compared to other places we visited in Sri Lanka. Bed linens were clean, mattresses very comfortable. We had a good sleep, there were no noises from outside. Villa is well equipped with kitchen, washing machine and even drying rack for clothes. Shower had good pressure and really hot water thanks to electric boiler. The shower floor even had a proper slope, so the water didn’t stay on the floor and was draining quickly! It was possible to choose from 3 breakfast options and it was tasty with some local dishes and fruits. Owner was very nice to us.

We stayed in 7 hotels during our Sri Lanka trip, from simple B&Bs to 5-star resorts, and Khomba Lodge was the only one we’ll remember for a long time. It’s a villa with only 3 apartments, there will be a maximum of 8 guests except of you in the whole building. The middle floor apartment is simply stunning - very comfortable, equipped with more stuff than you’ll ever need, furnished with exceptional taste. On one side, your balcony overlooks a private garden pool with a sea view, while on the other, there’s an incredibly spacious private terrace filled with tropical plants. The villa also offers direct access to the beach, and bars and restaurants are just beyond the fence. We also experienced the best in Sri Lanka hospitality and care from the staff. The guards at the entrance are incredibly friendly, Rehan is always ready to assist with any local needs, and the amazing Gayan will take care of all your travel arrangements. With Gayan and his comfortable van we even traveled to Ella after our stay - it was the best travel & guide tour we had on the island. Lisa, who manages the place, provides super easy & direct communication. Our only regret is that our stay was too short. Highly recommended to everyone - we will definitely return some day! Offering an open-air bath and garden view, Sunny Homestay is set in Tangalle, 1.3 km from Red Beach and 1.7 km from Marakkalagoda Beach. This place is cozy as it is lost in trees away from roads and street noises. Most noises are made by birds and monkeys. Here you can enjoy relaxed atmosphere and authentic neighbourhood with relaxed and friendly neighbours. We were staying with baby and the dog here so it’s a best place to dive into local style living, safe and relaxed. If you search for a place to stay as locals are living among fruit trees and giant squirrels and mongooses consider this homestay. Spacious yard is a bonus, a roofed shed is a place for smoke and eat in the rain. Helpful owners will help to resolve all your problems and answer all your questions. Have a nice stay here! Quiet and lazy place for those who don’t like hotels and want to live like locals! We were staying here for the second time. Best wishes!

We felt here like at home. Room was clen and cozy and breakfest delishous. Everything was perfect, We will miss this place. Owner is the heart and soul of this place

Set 600 metres from Goyambokka Beach, Sandhara Home Stay offers a private beach area, a garden and air-conditioned accommodation with a terrace and free WiFi. Everything was great. I liked the place and the location. Will come again

500 metres from Goyambokka Beach, VIEW guesthouse & bistro at goyambokka is a recently renovated property located in Tangalle and provides air-conditioned rooms with free WiFi and private parking. It was authentic and cozy place in the jungle. Great national breakfast. Hotel owner has cooked tasty local fish and shrimps for dinner. I envy people who have never been to this place. Situated near Tangalle Beach and Paravi Wella Beach, 4 S Villa is in Tangalle and features free private parking and a restaurant. The air-conditioned accommodation is 2.5 km from Marakkalagoda Beach. This place is an absolute gem! It exceeded all my expectations ♡ If you like nature and animals you have to book this villa. The garden leads to a private lagoon that provides you with authentic wild life from Sri Lanka. We fed monkeys and chipmunks, saw bats, peacocks and fireflies right there in our backyard. We travel a lot, but I'm confident to say that Sanjeewa was the best host we ever had. He made us smoothies and coffee, gave good recommendations and even invited us for a drink with his friends. When the neighbours were playing music at night, he immediately advocated for us and made sure it wouldn't happen again. He saw to our every need and his english is excellent. He even offered to drive us to the train station. The rooms of the house are spacious. There are two rooms and a bathroom on each floor. The rooms upstairs each have a balcony. The shared kitchen has all necessary utensils. If you're lucky, you could have the whole house to yourself. I'm usually rather critical in reviews, but everything was super clean and the beds were very comfortable even for my back problems. Sanjeewa came every morning to clean the floors and the kitchen. The beach is literally a 2 minute walk away, as well as a lot of restaurants and little supermarkets. Hence the location is really excellent. I think the price was fair. I would prefer this place to any fancy hotel. Will definitely stay here a second time, should I ever visit Sri Lanka again.
