Our family of four really enjoyed one night stay at this well maintained old traditional Japanese house. The host showed great hospitality by introducing Japanese culture and explaining house renovations he did himself to the house. We communicated in basic Japanese but to a large extent managed to use Google Translate to understand each other. The property is out of town but it was perfect for us with a rented car. It was the first time our family stayed in such a Japanese accommodation. It was a unique and unforgettable experience for all of us. We appreciated the parting gift of an apple pie. It was yummy.

A perfect place to stay before starting a museum trip in Naoshima.

The interior is gorgeous, thought was clearly put into every detail. It is practical and beautifully designed. The beds are very comfortable, the kitchen is fully equipped, and the place is quiet while in a very central location. The staff was super friendly and helpful when we arrived.

Objekat OldbutNew 蔵, udaljen oko 7,4 km od znamenitosti Shigemori Mirei Kinenkan, nudi smeštaj sa vrtom i terasom, kao i pogled na planinu. Toshiyuki and Chie were wonderful hosts. They gave us a very warm welcome, delicious homemade cake and vegetables from their garden. The furnishings of the house are beautiful and modern. It is very picturesque. We would have liked to stay there longer and definitely want to come back.

Absolutely stunning design and attention to details, at the same time creating a feeling of home. We could also buy some of the products which made us super happy. We love our ropes!! We would definitely stay here again.
