Located in the heart of the beautiful Westport Quay, Ireland, The Helm is adjacent to Westport House and overlooks the idyllic Westport Harbour. It offers a restaurant and bar with live... We informed the management of the estimated time of our arrival and told them we would get a taxi straight to the facility. When we arrived at the Westport train station we were met by a member of the management in a mini bus. Lovely surprise. When my husband and friend arrived much later that evening the kitchen was closed but they cheerfully reopened it and fed them with a fabulous plate of fresh fish and chips. The food was absolutely delicious and very plentiful. The owners and staff were wonderful, very warm and friendly. The apartment was very pleasant and comfortable. I cannot speak highly enough of the people of this warm and welcoming place. I hope to return there someday and very highly recommend it to people looking for a lovely vacation experience. Thank you again to the owners and staff of the Helm. Westport is a great little town in a stunningly beautiful location.😁👍

Waterfront apartment completely refurbished is situated in Westport, 3.1 km from Westport Train Station, 20 km from Ballintubber Abbey, and 20 km from Rockfleet Castle. A really clean and spacious apartment. The location is lovely, beautiful views of the water and right beside Westport house. There is a centra across the road and some bars and restaurants around the corner, and it’s a 20 minute walk into the town centre. Isobel is a great host, she left us some bits like fruit and bread and milk, and there are lots of toiletries and towels in the apartment. Overall I would highly recommend, I would love to stay for longer!
