Elafonisi Resort by Kalomirakis Family ligt te midden van een tuin met olijfbomen en beschikt over een à-la-carterestaurant. I was very lucky to find availability in this place for a long weekend. It was a wonderful stay and I hope to be back one day. The staff could not be nicer, very accommodating and friendly. The rooms in small cottages are located in the olive grove, there is good shade to while away the hottest hours and also incredible stars at night. There was tea kettle, decent wifi (not sufficient for working though), comfy bed, strong shower, sun bed on the terrace. Elafonisi beach is 7-10 min walk downhill. I loved spending mornings and late afternoons there while there were very few people. Such a different experience compared to the crowds at midday. I also walked one day to Kedrassos beach - about 25-30 min walk, take sturdy sandals or shoes… the beach is another paradise. I also loved the meals at the resort restaurant. It was always tasty, lovely sunset views and again great service. Highly recommended :).

Hotel Aphrodite Beach ligt aan het zandstrand Mavros Molos in Kissamos. Het hotel biedt een zwembad, parasols en ligstoelen op het strand en gratis WiFi in alle ruimtes. The rooms were very nice. Bar is great. Restaurant is good. Beach is nice but we used the location to go to another beaches. The pool was very nice as well.

Kavos Hotel & Suites ligt op een rustige en prachtige locatie aan de kust van Kavos en biedt uitzicht op de Kretenzer Zee. Pick up and drop off to airport included was really easy.. only 20 min drive.We arrived at midnight and the guy who picked us up made a detour so we could stop at a shop! Good quality hire car as well that are at the hotel waiting for you and easy hand over. We stayed in one of the suites that has it's own pool which are a 2 min walk from the main hotel. Lots of privacy so my wife enjoyed lots of topless sunbathing! Awesome view over the little cove where you can swim and is good for snorkeling. The room itself was brilliantly clean and modern. Housekeeping turned up every day to tidy The main pool is really large and clean and all surrounding areas are really nice and well kept. Breakfast was good with something for everyone and served from 8 till 10. We preferred lunch to dinner as it was more to our taste although both lunch and dinner were both really well priced so it's not expensive to stay in. Location wise you have great beaches near by, the main 2 approx a 5 min drive away. A couple of little shops around the corner a 2 min drive away that have everything you really need and they do absolutely banging coffee about a third of the price of Starbucks! There's a supermarket about a 10 min drive and probably another 15 min from there is Chania Old Town which is very pretty. We have been to this part of Crete a few times now and this was by far our best experience and will 100% be coming back here. It's not the cheapest place to stay but you get what you pay for and if you want a luxury relaxing break with zero to worry about don't go anywhere else
