She was thoughtful to pack me breakfast at midnight when I left for Abu Simbel Temple. The house is on the Elephantine island away from the noise of the main city. It was a wonderful time.

In fact the only tell in terms of the setup, if you just wake up one day there without knowing where you are, that it’s in Aswan, is that the shower doesn’t have a basin. (Which is the case everywhere in Aswan) It has everything you might need, including a coffee machine, microwave, TV, washing machine, fridge, stove with oven, and even a dining table. Also the host was very helpful and tried his best to help us.
