Beautiful garden with a cold, which was perfect for the hot summer days we were there. Room was very cool even without AC which was nice for the heat. Location was quiet and beautiful. Would definitely recommend for a trip to the moselle if you want to stay somewhere quiet.

Located in Mendig and only 3.3 km from Monastery Maria Laach, Basaltikum provides accommodation with garden views, free WiFi and free private parking. Lovely couple, and a very clean and tidy house. The apartment is exceptional, even though we didnt use the kitchen or lounge, everything was there if we needed it. We only spoke english, and the hosts only spoke German, but this was no problem at all, and they made a real effort to communicate with translator. Loved it.
