Excellent modern comfortable apartment in a good location just a short walk from the main pedestrian street, the pier and the beach. Despite me suffering a cancelled flight from Sao Vicente and all of my luggage lost until the afternoon of my third day, Antonio and his patner were incredibly understanding and helpful in every way possible. The security was excellent with electronic fob for the single entrance and for the apartment itself.

Villa ao Mar offers accommodation set in Santa Maria, 200 metres from Parish of Our Lady of Sorrows and Nazarene Church. Location was spot on. Loved the roof terrace, after a day on the beach, was amazing to have this space to watch the sunset and the views were stunning! Also very well equipped for self catering. Kitchen had everything we needed. The local security guards who patrol the streets at night, made us feel extra safe and even brought our swimwear inside the building one evening to keep them safe. Amazing, friendly guys!!

The location is very quiet at night. 3’ walk to the first beach bar and a small 15’ to the city center. Very lovely apartment. Beaches here are different than the other side of Santa Maria with lots of stones. Lynda is one of the best hosts we ever had, and we travel a lot ! She wants to give you a perfect experience, you can contact her anytime for anything and last but not least….. you feel her love and respect towards the locals who she’s working with.
