The apartments are big and comfortable and Mona is one of the friendliest hosts I've ever experienced. Her cooking is extraordinary and the jam she makes for breakfast is delicious. The apartment is located 150m away from one of the nicest and loneliest beaches I have seen in my life. You will have the ocean for yourself... At least until others will find out about the beauty of Maio ;)

A recently renovated property, Casa Carlotta Maio is set in Vila do Maio near Biche Rocha Beach, Praia de Ponta Preta. This beachfront property offers access to free WiFi and free private parking. The place is very cosy and the staff is super nice. They let me check out late. The breakfast is in a bar close to the forte Sao Jose and it is served from 8.30/9am.

Boasting air-conditioned accommodation with a private pool, Stella Maris Da Costa Apartament is situated in Calheta Do Maio. The stay at Stella Maris Da Costa was spectacular. Upon arrival I was greeted by staff who was super friendly and helpful throughout the entire duration of the the trip. Excited to return in the future.

Set 700 metres from Praia de Ponta Preta, Wave Maze offers an infinity pool, and air-conditioned accommodation with a balcony and free WiFi. This beachfront property offers access to a patio. Clean, nice interior decoration and good location close to the beach. The donkeys outside the hotel gave us an authentic awakening every morning.

Located 1.2 km from Biche Rocha Beach, Guest House Maio offers accommodation with a patio, as well as barbecue facilities. Franklin and his family are very open and friendly, we even got picked at the harbour to take us to the Appartement. The house is a little bit on the outskirts of town, but this makes it very quiet and gives a nice rural feeling. Anything we needed the Host was ready to give or help us. We could use the Appartement the whole day of our check out and Franklin gave us a ride to the harbour again. Thanks for the very nice stay!
