Our 4 night stay at Lake Gardens was brilliant. I travelled with my two sons (13&10). The hosts were fantastic leaving great instructions and providing information about the area. We arrived much later than expected (travel delays) but they kept in contact by WhatsApp so I felt at ease. They offered breakfast and coffee which we didn't have as we had bought shopping to use the self catering facilities. The kitchen was well equipped and the showers had lovely hot water, the whole place was spotlessly clean. I would highly recommend. The lakeside location is stunning.

Ian was so welcoming to his lovely property that was a lush and well tended garden with a variety of beautiful plants and trees located with a nice lake view. He also cares for a goat, Philomena, and other birds and small animals. The upstairs apartment where we stayed was comfortable, spacious, well stocked. Some wonderful little extras, fresh flowers sprinkled throughout, wine and a large sitting porch with great breezes to view toucans and other cool birds! We so enjoyed Ian’s tour around his property and learned so much. Definitely a highlight of our 3 week trip.

Flat-screen cable TV and a sofa seating area complete each living room. A balcony with lake views is available. Amazing view over the lake and the vulcano, the kitchen is spacious and there is a big washing machine / dryer. The apartment is very beautiful and there is a large balcony, but my highlight is the pool (three pools) overlooking the lake. There is an amazing seafood place very close: Lake Arenal Pizza and Seafood! The cocktails and the food are amazing.
