Big room with kitchen! Clean, lots of natural light. Location was great, lovely neighbourhood. Restaurant downstairs was delicious! The staff at The Place were friendly and helpful. Offering inner courtyard views, Departamento Santiago Centro is an accommodation set in Santiago, 1.6 km from Santa Lucia Hill and 2.4 km from Museo de la Memoria Santiago. I felt the flat as a whole was in need of real deep–clean, windows, cabinets, mirrors, fridge, shelving. The sofa was stained. The bed headboard was worn down. Bed mattress should have mattress protective cover. Sheets were slippery and would not stay in place so that I woke up half on the bare mattress with the sheets all over the place. Great hot water and powerful shower. There were a couple of automatic (chemical) air scent devices, one of which emitted a spray regularly which I found overwhelming. The position of the flat in the vast residential block is shaded from the direct glare of the scorching sun which was a real relief. The flat was comfortably cool therefore during the day, still with plenty of light flooding the flat. That was very nice. Kitchenette old and worn. I didn’t feel inspired to cook in any case since my stay was very short. To be honest it felt as if the long term occupier/s had vacated her/ his/their flat for the duration of my stay (two nights) and had quickly wiped things down and changed the sheets. I would rate the stay 7.9.
