Very friendly staff on hand and good communication with the owners. Very quite and peaceful area with some good walks and interesting birds. A supply of some basics like milk and coffee was a very nice touch.

The fact that we have everything you need from home
My stay exceeded my expectations, the apartment was beyond comfortable and relaxing. The view off the deck took my breath away every time I gazed upon it. The Owner was simply awesome, having made a fire (unlimited fire wood provided) and put out fresh eggs and avos from the farm for a morning snack.
Self catering. Facilities great but needs investment and attention. The power backup had run out owing to a power failure when we arrived, this meant that our fridge could not keep out frozen food cold. when I called the response was that the backup battery lifetime had expired
This is an amazing venue with wonderful hosts. It is my third stay and I definitely will be back. Michelle is a warm and caring and the personal touches in the apartment are great and the apartment is super clean. The views are stunning and the place is very well kept.
Hosts Marion and Eric warmly welcomed us to their awesome guesthouse that incorporates an art/pottery/stained glass studio, filled with inspiring objets d'art everywhere.They were helpful and informative, promptly sending a PIN location for our swimming event in the nearby Ebenezer Dam and suggesting hiking routes the next day in the stunning hills and forests surrounding Haenertsburg, a little gem of a town. Our hosts were always on hand to respond to our needs, but never intrusive.
Absolutely beautiful setting. The garden is a true paradise with beautiful views.. The homemade cookies are delicious. The apartment is decorated very tastefully and is very cozy. Town is a stone through away.
The location was excellent. We had fun at the lake. The staff was very helpfull. We got a flat tyre(no fault of Standford Lake) and we where only woman, I called Gavin and he made arrangements for someone to assist us right away. Willy assisted us, he was very friendly and up to the task. We had a wonderfull time and will defenitly come again!
