I recently had the opportunity to stay at this B&B, and while the experience was overall pleasant, it left me with mixed feelings due to facilities that were just adequate. The farm stay was really nice with an easy location to get to. The drive in was easy and there is a nice play area for kids. The charm of the accommodation lies in its quaint atmosphere and homely ambiance. The decor is tasteful, but very old and shows signs of its age. There was no electricity due to load-shedding and the generator died during our stay, making it a little spooky and uncomfortable. It was also Christmas eve, so we did not get to meet the hosts, but the communication we had with them before and during our stay was quick, easy and helpful.
For travelers who appreciate a space of their own at the end of the day, an apartment or flat is the perfect home away from home. Furnished rooms and kitchen facilities give groups and families the flexibility to enjoy downtime separately or plan the next day’s activities over a shared meal. Excellent river view and the family room was large and well equipped. Would have been nice to have spent a longer time there. There were more facilities and game drives that we couldn't take advantage of due to our short stay.
We enjoyed our stay. The location is great,the apartment was clean and we had everything that we needed for the duration of our stay. The cleaning staff were friendly.
We loved the spaciousness, the beautiful view over the dam and outdoor braai area which we unfortunately could not use as we only spent 1 night in the apartment on our stopover to Cape Town.
Great set up like a loft for unit 1- 2 toilets, one inside a full bathroom the other separate. Kitchen and living areas upstairs overlooking an amazing view of the dam and surrounding mountains.
Very comfortable rooms- with additional blankets and electric blankets on the beds and air conditioning, for if it were hot. Filled with all the basic essentials for a comfortable longer stay. More generous than most complimentary items.
