Oh I loved everything. The intimacy of the studio, the location, the pool, peacefulness. The apartment had everything we needed. We were offered 1 day extra at no fee but unfortunately we had to back home to the kids. That was very kind of V, she checked out at our own time not 10am. She was available on WhatsApp at anytime of the day and very helpful. Gave us a list of recommendations for the restaurants around. The list is endless if I may say. The welcome drinks, the aircon in the apartment we didn't even know how hot it was outside because of her aircon lol. Will definitely come back and will also recommend to my friends and family. Thanks once again to V for everything.

Super place to stay, a really lovely apartment close to great restaurants and the beach. It was also good to have table lamps that stayed on during the power cuts. Glen and Tracey were fantastic hosts. Would highly recommend Pigeonwood Forest Cottage.

This property really has the wow factor! From the beautiful open plan living space to the fabulous bathrooms and the wonderful sea view, we really could not have asked for a better way to end our South African holiday. Communication with the owner was excellent, both before and during our stay; he left a voice message with restaurant recommendations, sent a reminder to look out for whales (we saw them from the living room windows!) and there was even a bottle of wine to greet us. Everything from the kitchen equipment to the wifi connection was of the highest standard. The torches and information about load-shedding were appreciated too, though not needed during our stay. Little touches such as toiletries in the bathrooms and cleaning products in the kitchen were so helpful. Ballito itself is a lovely safe, relaxed spot, with stunning beaches and some great eating options. We would definitely return to this area, and to this property.
