Nice hotel right off 81. Clean and updated. No complimentary water like we got in the Hampton Inn the night before, but you can buy one! Room was well appointed with a very comfortable bed and large flat screen tv. A/C was a little loud, but worked well. There is a restaurant across the parking lot and the food was good. It is a buffet with a regular menu as well - loads of food! Worth a trip for dinner and to hang out with the locals!
This beautifully reimagined campus (formerly a hospital and, later, a corrections facility), now boasts an Inn, spa, conference center and apartment buildings. The unique setting alone is worth a visit, but the comfy rooms, excellent food and hospitable staff will keep us coming back.
Spacious apartment in an excellent location. Very comfortable. Kitchen well provided with dishware. Easy self check-in. This will be our first choice for future stays in Staunton if it's available.
This property was for many years a penitentiary, and was initially built by the state of VA as a "lunatic hospital." It has recently been converted to condos, apartments, and a hotel and event center. It is an interesting place with an unusual history. Parking is free and the rooms and fixtures are quite new.
