We booked the property and immediately reached out to cancel because the house rules didn't match the listing and we were traveling with two dogs. We received no response, so we decided to try it out anyway and drove to El Paso from Phoenix on our way to San Antonio. After getting off the road after 8P, it was very dark and we stopped at a nearby fueling station to contact the property owner to check-in. We tried calling three times before we gave up and were eventually able to make other arrangements after 8P on Christmas Eve traveling with two dogs.
I contacted Booking.com and they instructed me to try and resolve the situation by calling the property owner again. I assumed this was a formality in their dispute process, as the Booking.com rep put me on hold and attempted to contact the property owner himself to no avail. I was absolutely shocked when I called and someone answered. I suspiciously explained my situation, and the guy (predictably without a hint of empathy) told me the following:
1. He's hired a property management company to respond to his booking.com listing and they were away enjoying their holiday when I first reached out to request a cancellation.
2. He claimed to have been at the property all evening, with his telephone on. If this is true, he ignored three of my phone calls.
Even with all of the above being true, it's not likely—due to booking.com's protection of grifters like him—that I will receive a refund from the property owner. So, I will be contacting my bank with all of the evidence I have to get my $200 back that some asshole stole from my family on Christmas Eve.

It's a great place near the downtown of El Paso - it's really spacious, clean and well equipped. We needed to use a washing machine and a dryer - all at our desposal. We recommend this place to everybody!

Everything was great once you explained the door code. It was easy after that. The only thing to note is the door to the apartment is a bit stuck and concerned me about giving it a little shove to open it. That also may be of concern to a future renter.

The apartment was big, secure, and in a quiet residential area. The manager is nearby and assisted me when I needed help. The bathroom is huge with everything I needed.

I loved how cozy the apartment was. The decor and furniture made it feel like an art deco escape. The seating in the living room was comfortable and the banquette in the kitchen area was perfect for drinking a morning cup of coffee. Also, for my purposes the location worked out great. It's only a few minutes' drive from downtown El Paso, and only a 10-minute drive from the TTU HSC campus. If I'm ever in the area again, I'd love to come back!
