My recent stay at Moshi Hostel Lodge in Kibolironi, Kilimanjaro was nothing short of extraordinary. Originally, I had only booked a shorter stay, but within a day, I realized this place was something special. I loved it so much that I decided to extend my visit—and I’m so glad I did!
From the moment I arrived, the location and ambiance captivated me. Nestled in a peaceful yet convenient spot near the town center, the property offered the perfect blend of tranquility and accessibility. Waking up to clear crisp mornings was magical, and the proximity to local markets, cafes, and key adventure spots made exploring Moshi a breeze.
The host, Emmanuel, was an absolute superstar. He was always available, attentive, and incredibly helpful throughout my stay. From the moment I inquired about extending my booking, Emmanuel made the process seamless, ensuring that I was comfortable and had everything I needed. His warm hospitality and willingness to go above and beyond really stood out.
The space itself was stunning. The room I stayed in was immaculately clean, spacious, and beautifully decorated with authentic Tanzanian touches. The bed was incredibly comfortable, and after a day of exploring or hiking, it felt like sinking into a cloud.
The amenities were everything I could have asked for. The shower had great water pressure with consistent hot water.
What made this stay truly exceptional was the personalized care and experiences. Emmanuel was always ready with suggestions. He even helped me discover hidden gems in the area that I wouldn’t have found on my own. His knowledge of Moshi and his genuine passion for sharing it made every activity memorable.
The breakfasts were another highlight. Every morning, I woke up to a delightful spread of fresh fruits, locally baked bread, and rich Tanzanian coffee. Emmanuel’s homemade pancakes were the cherry on top—delicious and made with so much care.

This place is lovely! I stayed before and after my kilimanjaro climb. When I came the second time, the staff remembered my name and welcomed. They even gave me an upgrade to one of the lofts. Wow. This was amazing. The view from the balcony is just stunning.
Breakfast and Dinner were also amazing.

Very simple breakfast, not complaining for the price. Meals menu limited but alright for short stay. Bathroom reasonable clean, beds comfortable Staff very helpful in everything. Thumbs up. They can buy long distance bus tickets for you too at a cheaper price and also can organise tours too. They also recommended restaurants around the area. View from verandah towards Kilimanjaro was good. There was power cut but they have own generators. Can hang out laundry to dry.
Fantastic Host! Far is very welcoming, open, helpful and entertaining. He‘s a great cook, perfectly connected and just a fun person to be surrounded with.

We stayed in this hostel one night, before starting our Kilimanjaro climbing Very good for the short stay. It is more like an apartment with a common kitchen, so you get feeling like you are home Owner was super nice and helpful. Free coffee, tea and drinking water facilities in the kitchen. Bars and restaurants around, so we had no problem to find place to eat. We didnt have time to visit Moshi, but the town is at half an hour walking distance from the hotel . I definetely reccommend, worth the money we paid.
The staff were lovely and very helpful, letting us leave a spare bag in a store room for a week while we climbed mt Kilimanjaro. They also helped organise taxis for us and even packed us up a small breakfast to take with us on the start of our hiking trip. Very kind people.

Spanning two floors, they are adorned with elegant wooden furniture that begins right at the entrance, showcasing the owner’s impeccable taste and creative flair. Every aspect of the interior is characterized by freshness and pristine condition; in fact, the owner even thoughtfully provided essentials like gel, shampoo, and a body scrub.
Furthermore, these apartments offer private veranda and a balcony, providing a serene space to relax.
We stayed in an apartment with a private pool and it was exceptional, the rooms were big and the bathrooms felt like luxury. The pool area was lovely to hang out. It's run by a friendly German couple, Klaus and Agata, who were always happy to help. The small number of rooms gives the hotel a relaxed and intimate feel. The spa was also great value for money and I had one of the best massages ever.
Extremely friendly and helpful people. Great breakfast, Hot shower, strong wifi and we could park our rental car inside the gate. 10/10 value for money
