It was a pleasure to be greeted by Jorge the owner, then Catherine who showed us the apartment upon the day of arrival. From the balcony, the view of the Porto side was absolutely fantastic (refer to the photos). The weather was pleasant when we visited so we kept the balcony doors open most of the morning and evening. The neighborhood offered a change of scene compared to the bustling Porto side. Restaurants were very good. A short walk from the apartment, you could sit by the riverside and enjoy the sunset through evening (refer to the photos). Just beautiful. Our group of 3 women felt very safe in the area.
When in Porto, stay in the historic center for a night then move over to the other side, you can always walk the bridge (either bottom or top part of the bridge) or take the fun cable car ride up to the top of the bridge. This apartment in Vila Nova de Gaia is THE PLACE TO STAY when in Porto.
If you’re worried about transportation to the airport, ask for their assistance with shuttle services. I was very appreciative of getting a safe and punctual ride at 4am.

Our group of 8 enjoyed the Porto Sunset Flat. The apartment is spacious and due to a full wall of windows, the view is fantastic. The apartment is close enough for visiting Porto as well as day trips to the surrounding area and also far enough away to relax outside of the city. Would stay again.

Cozy little apartment on the other side of the river which provides an excellent night’s sleep far from the noisy Porto night life but just 8 minutes walking from the the Ribeiro do Porto. It’s perfect for a couple’s getaway and has everything you need for a short stay, also the shower was a pleasant surprise with ambient light and music.

We especially loved the very adorable balcony, even if we couldn't sit there much. The village itself is also very nice and has local vibes.
