I booked the terrace studio of Casa Nunes on a last minute impulse to celebrate my birthday in beautiful Pinhão. I arrived from Porto by train - Casa Nunes has several rentals on the host's property which is just up the street from the train station in Pinhão. The host family was very kind and welcoming, and the apartment has a lovely view of the Douro River through the back gate at the top level of the property. The unit I stayed in seemed nearly new, it was tasteful and very comfortable. The small refrigerator was filled with food for my breakfasts, there was also fruit, coffee, tea and a large bottle of water. There's a lovely private patio sitting area that in warmer weather would be a perfect spot to read or eat breakfast. This was decorated for Christmas and I loved the little tree! The hosts live on the property, but were very considerate of my privacy. I really enjoyed my stay!

The property was a self contained apartment. It was very spacious although the bedrooms were upstairs and the stairs were difficult to negotiate. The kitchen was very roomy and had everything we needed plus more. The availability of a washing machine and clothes line was fantastic.
Pedro is an exceptionally helpful host. We are grateful for his kindness and proactiveness. The apartment was quiet and comfortable. Air conditioning kept it cool during a very warm day
The view is incredible . Stayed in the 1 bedroom apartment which had so much space , 2 lovely balconies with a view over river below . Only stayed 2 nights but wish it had been longer .
Micael and his staff provided excellent communications and service. They went above and beyond to get me settled in a clean modern apartment with a classic Douro view from the terrace. They also arranged a good boat tour with great information about the history of the region, viticulture, and about wine making.
Large, comfortable room. Very clean. Great view from the terrace as the property is quite high up... the price for this view is quite a climb up the hill. It is equipped for self catering, so if using this apartment for that, then plan ahead as the nearest supermaket is at the bottom of the hill.
Pedro an amazing host, friendly and helpful with suggestions. Fantastic breakfast. Wifi and TV excellent. Parking on the street, could be a little tricky finding a park,, then you go up 2 flights of stairs to apartment. Kitchen with everything you need for short stay. small bathroom with plenty of hot water. A great bonus was having a washing machine especially when you are on the road for a few weeks. But for us the AC was the best,. Thank you Pedro, good luck in all your en devours.
