Heather met us when we arrived (was dark the time we got there) to help carry our bags and show us the way. They had kindly lit the the fire for us so was nice and warm on our arrival.

Grant and Linda's apartment is wonderful. The decor is lovely and has all the amenities and more. Grant met us and showed us around the unit. The kitchen is terrific with all the needed appliances. The bedroom and living room are both large and comfortable. We so enjoyed our stay.

This is a well-located motel in the center of Takaka - do not mistake it for the resort of a similar name down the road (Google Maps almost fooled me!). The 3-bedroom apartment was spacious and well-equipped. We even had an air fryer to use! The room was well-furnished and decorated. Now I wish we had stayed longer than just one night. The contactless check-in and check-out system works well, and our brief contact with the staff was brilliant. Very friendly!

One of several self contained apartments in a large house. On the coast with huge lawn heading down to beach. Outdoor spa was ready and fun. Bonus having Lucy the lab to play with. Very good communication with owners who were off site. Dishwasher and access to wash machine good too.

The 1-bdrm unit was super spacious and had lots of sunny spots for drying the clothes.. We had a little semi-private patio with table and chairs. The shower was good and there was a separate room for the toilet (luxury, no manoeuvring around the basin to go to the loo). Our host Lisa was friendly and helpful. The motel was a short, flat walk from the cafés.
I loved everything about this property. It was perfectly clean. I could not fault anything about this cute little chalet. Sleeping quarters was upstairs (via ladder) up in an A-framed ceiling/loft.
The peacefulness and serenity of the chalet. sitting out on the deck having a few, and enjoying the view. I would love to come back again.

Stunning location set amongst native trees and a coastal vista. Loft Bed was comfortable with quality linen and dressing gowns for the transit between the cabin and shower/kitchen leaner (approx 20m).
Birdsong, privacy and the outdoor kitchen had everything needed to make a meal or coffee.
