The Blackhouse Guest house was a wonderful, detached, single storey house.
It was modern and beautifully decorated internally, with large windows and french doors all the way around the house so that the interior was very bright and sunny. The kitchen and utility room provided excellent facilities.
There were three of us and as this was a 5-bedroom house, we each had our own double-room - absolute luxury ! There were two bathrooms, which worked well for us.
The kitchen was well-equipped with a lovely large island to work on.
The beds were very comfortable indeed.
Debs, our host was warm, welcoming and very helpful and responded to any questions very quickly and efficiently.

I was there for a short stay so didn't get to use any of the room facilities other than the shower. The room was very clean and tidy. The electric blanket was helpful on a chilly winter night.
Ron was an awesome host. Loved the hot breakfast. Place is extremely clean, well heated, nicely decorated. Awesome flatscreen, can connect to my own Netflix account. Has phone chargers.
What a fabulous place! The hosts were friendly but not intrusive. The apartment itself was cosy and warm for our winter stay and more spacious than I expected. It have everything you need for a short stay. It was spotlessly clean too. I noticed other guests have commented on the stairs being steep but they aren't that bad. It's a great base for all of your West Coast adventures.
The communal kitchen was large, very clean, and well equipped. Loved the ping pong table in the games room! Studio apartment was modern, clean, comfortable, and quiet. Less than a minute walk to the communal kitchen/laundry/lounging areas.
