Mirella and her family were great! Warm and welcoming people. They always helped me with my questions or requests without hesitation. The neighborhood is safe and you can find some local food in the area. There are also markets right across the street if you need something. There is a big TV in the room which is a plus for me. I spent my lazy evenings watching some movies. The WiFi was unstable some days (maybe because of the weather) but it didn't prevent me from doing my job as a remote worker so that was all a good experience!

Very nice Appartment in Trou aux biches with a big terracce to spend the evenings. Jack, the host, and his two daughters are very pleasent and kind people and always offer their help. I would definitely recommend this appartment If you are looking for a nice place. Also it's just a 10-minute-walk to get to the public beach.

Here you can feel the real atmosphere of Mauritius. We stayed for 21 days. This was our base for exploring the island. There are beautiful beaches nearby, delicious food in a cheap restaurant and a cafe with coffee and muffins, yum. There is a bus stop next to it and you can park your rental car in the hostel's courtyard. Modest but clean. And most importantly, the owner is very nice and helpful.
Thanks to such hostels, Mauritius is accessible to every budget.We never dreamed that we would spend a month in Mauritius and Rodrigues.😊
I had a great stay at Villa Pointe Aux Piment.The owner is friendly and very helpful.He arranged a rental car at a very affordable price.The rooms are neat and has an ensuite.It's near public transport (bus),small stores (where you can buy fresh vegetables etc.) and a few local restaurants.
