This charming apartment was spotlessly clean throughout, the kitchen was well equipped, the bed was comfortable & the shower was powerful with constant hot water. It was in a separate building to the house that belongs to the family & is in a lovely large peaceful garden very near the main square & bus stop in Merkine. The family are helpful & kind & some members speak English.
Merkine is a very nice little town and worth visiting. The apartment, behind the owners' house, is in a very good, central location, close to supermarket and bus stop. Nice walking trails in the area. The landlady was very friendly and I am sorry we were not able to talk to her due to lack of common language.
