Home away from home! The accommodation is in an area with separate access from the one used by the hosting family. Private kitchen, private bathroom, private terrace with a nice big aquarium. Everything was clean as promised. Nilu was simply a perfect host, she was there when needed, but never obtrusive.
Guys, do YOURSELVES a favor and ask her to cook dinner for you! In the last evening we had a fantastic grilled fish that I will remember for a long time. (Muhudu Kukula is the common name of this fish in Sri Lanka, some say Pothubari and in the English version, it is called sea chicken)

This is a lovely hotel, with a friendly owner. Perfect cleanliness and value for money. The breakfasts are gigantic and delicious. A quiet area, you can walk or get to the beach by bike, but this should not be a problem for those who are going to rent a scooter.

Set in the jungle the views are beautiful, hotel is completely clean throughout. Pool area is large, even at a busy time if year there's plenty of space for everyone. The staff and hotel owner are very friendly and helpful. Breakfast is average but convenient and only a few euro. I suffered an extreme allergic reaction to a mosquito bite, medical centre and pharmacy are 2/3 minutes away in a tuk tuk, along with everything else you need on the main road.

We had a fantastic time at Sri Lanka Villa. Our apartment was spacious and had everything we needed. The area is quiet and safe. It is possible to walk to the beach in 5 minutes.
The owner Upul was also there for two days and gave us a very warm welcome. Also the caretaker Vijith is a super nice and helpful person. We'll happily visit again!

Wonderful place! Right above the turtle hatchery which you walk through to get to the beach. The flat had huge rooms which were very clean. Also a kitchen and living room that looks out on the beach. The balcony was also wonderful. Over the moon. The staff were also very friendly and helpful. Flat was also close to some nice local restaurants
Very clean, modern studio with comfortable bed and nice bathroom. Owner has a tuk tuk or motorbike rental. The included breakfast was delicious. Nice owner and nice family.
Spacious apartment with excellent balcony and great view. All we needed was there. Also good wifi and super friendly host. Supermarked, fruit and fish shops close by if you like cooking.
Beautiful deserted beach with rather big waves, so not too good for swimming in February.
This is a great little find. The couple went out of their way to make our stay special and the accommodation was superb with a little Kitchenette for simple self catering.
The setting on the beach and balcony overlooking the beach was brilliant, the room was beautifully clean and the shower was powerful and plenty of hot water.
We chose to have a Sri Lankan breakfast each morning which was delicious.
We will definitely return as it’s good value for money and the location is perfect .
The stay at Mallis Guesthouse was definitely the best I had during my 3 weeks in Sri Lanka. Nilu and her family made me feel like a true part of the family, she is an exceptionally kind and supportive host. She helped me with a ton of things and surprised me many times with little and not so little treats.
The apartment is very well equipped and a great place to hang out, also for longer times.

The apartment was directly on the beach and the room interior was new equipped. There were a lot of restaurant options. You can have loooong beach walks at a beautiful beach. What we liked most was the great service, friendliness and helpfullness of the owner and his family. If we had any wishes or questions they always took care of us immediately and lovingly. Thanks for the amazing time🙏
The room was very large, clean and modern with all the amenities you could need.
We had food most of the time at the villa, but there were also many places to eat out as well as all styles & prices. also a great selection of local shops.
A lovely clean wide and flat "not touristy" Beach, and John's villa had a nice plunge pool to relax in the shade.
The staff, were all so attentive but not to much. They were always there for a friendly chat or left you alone if you wanted private time.
The house is a separate house near owners house. Couple is very accomodative, caring and friendly. We enyojed patio, Nilu made us great dinner, cared if we need something, we were mostly communicating in watsapp, so we could have our privacy. Place is very convinient, especially sofa as a lounge zone, which is not common for the most apartments in Sri Lanka.
