Absolutely great place to stay,Two bed room apartment with mini kitchen ,sitting area ,bathroom and balconies for both the rooms.Actually this I selected randomly but was a best option because lovely nature inside the town very calm and cool,Specially I was loved to hear birds' whistles,trills,and drumming in the morning.Good beds with clean bed sheets , overall a clean and tidy place.One meal ,thats my breakfast I ordered from here it was good ,too good to have this type of greenish location with a relaxed mind.Next time once I visit Kandy will select the same with my family definetly.All the best Team.Super.

We were lucky to rent the second floor and no one else was in the apartment. The apartment on the second floor is enormous. The kitchen living room dining room are shared. Private bedroom/bathroom.
The best part of the stay was the care taker. Such a caring man who went above and beyond to help us. I can not say enough how his care and attention made the stay so much better. Thank you sir

Boscage Homestay was perhaps our best stay during our month in Sri Lanka. Felt much like a home away from home. Owner Sanjeewa, wife Hansi and son Oshane were amazing hosts. We shared meals and drinks over great conversation. Toured the neighborhood and met the neighbors. We even bathed in the natural spring in front of the homestay and just down the hill.
Boscage (def: forest) Homestay is located in an upper middle class neighborhood in the hills surrounding Kandy. The interior of the home is like a museum of Sri Lankan crafts amd artifacts. The home is split into two floors, with the host family living on the first floor and guest rooms on the second. The two guest rooms are separated by a communal kitchen, dining and seating area. All areas of the second floor allow for sweeping views of Kandy and the surrounding hills amd mountains. The property is clean, comfortable, affordable and well situated above the bustle of town.
As mentioned by other guest reviews, this is a homestay and not a guesthouse. This property would best serve guests who are interested in sharing experiences with a beautiful local family. Though privacy and independence are possible, it would defeat the intent of the hosts.

We stayed for 2 nights and it just was not enough, fantastic host just like family. The apartment is huge and wonderful. Wifi was great, the showers were great, the kitchen was great and the views were stunning. Do not hesitate to book this wonderful place to stay when in Kandy.

Very friendly host. I did an unplanned last minute booking in this property and arrived in the evening. I got a whole apartment with external bathroom and balcony in a very quiet area. I only stayed 1 night, so I did not cook (the kitchen is very simple). The bus connection is very good, although you have to walk up the hill (aprox. 100m). The apartment is simple but with a lot of space and very quiet. Definitely a good alternative to Kandy city, which is very busy and polluted.
