This is an idyllic little retreat tucked away from the main thoroughfare. A lovely cabin which feels like it's immersed in the jungle, with views through the trees of the surrounding countryside and the sounds of the birds. The host is very friendly and provides a delicious breakfast and knowledge of the area. Very clean and comfortable. Highly recommended!

The owner was very helpful and communicative before we got to the property. He picked us up from the train station late at night, and arranged transportation for us after eating dinner back to the property. The location is a little bit outside of the main town area which was good for us, nice and quiet at night. Every morning we got a huge breakfast made by the owner which was customizable depending on your own taste. He can help book drivers to different spots around the area. Good value for the money.

We stayed here last minute and boy was it a treat! We rescued a kitten from a temple, had no idea what to do with her but after a little intro, the hosts daughter, Isha quickly fell in love with her and decided to keep her. The rooms were beautiful and the temperature was cool due to being in the mountains. The breakfast was amazing and most importantly the people!! Our hosts are incredible human beings. If your in Ella, this is a must stay!

I have stayed here after completing stage 16/17 of the Pekoe Trail. This place was a godsend! The hosts were very kind and gave me delicious food for Poson Poya, the rooms and bathroom are really clean, Bed is comfortable, There is a balcony with a great view of the Buddhist temple nearby. Our host Amali was fantastic, gave us a delicious welcome drink, cooked us a lovely breakfast each morning and arranged transport from train station as well as giving us lots of advice on local area. Apartment was well equipped and sitting on the balcony was wonderful seeing and hearing the local nature. Very homely stay
Everything. The place is very comfortable, we had booked all 4 rooms so basically we had the entire apartment with the kitchen. It is 10 Min walking distance from the city centre but it has a great view and waking up surrounded by the nature is just a gift. It is very clean, spacious, all rooms have a terrace and there is also a huge one on the roof top. Even if the breakfast is not included, we could use the kitchen to prepare it ourselves.
Staying at Aloft View has been an increadible experience. The View from the Apartment and watching sunrise from bed is unforgettable. The Apartment is modern, offers everything you need and is way over Sri Lankan Standard. The Host Family from young to old were giving us a great time with delicous breakfast beeing served on the terasse, good recomendations and a lot of insights about Sri Lanka and its culture. If you want to go to Ella try to stay in this Apartment! :)
This was our amazing, short stay in Ella. The room is located on the hill with an amazing view on the mountains. The room was clean, well maintained and run by a lovely family. There is a terrace to enjoy the view and relax. The owner was very helpful, she recommended a great restaurant, and offered transportation service and things worth seeing in Ella. We enjoyed the local breakfast! We recommend this cozy apartment to stay in Ella.
