Very nice base for a short stay (had whole house to ourselves so relaxed fully). Traditional Japanese home with associated facilities. Care that you identify the property (one side of road, while they also have a sign on the other indicating an available parking area).
We really enjoyed our 4 night stay at Noahs house. It is recently renovated and the whole apartment was super clean and cozy. On top of that it is very well equipped - the owner had really thought about everything one might need. Also they kept in touch to make sure we were happy and satisfied. There was a dedicated parking place right next to the apartment and laundromat was 3 minute walk away. We would happily stay there again.
The host Koji drove us to our Kumano River tour the next day which was a 20 minute drive and he did it very generously for us.
He was very flexible with our check-in time and was extremely gracious and friendly and helpful and made sure we were very comfortable and then left us alone.
The apartment was great for four people and it was quirky and spotless and charming. I would definitely stay again.
This little house within a house is superb for a visit to Shingu. Centrally located and very convenient. The house is fully equipped with a small kitchen, washing machine in the bathroom and a small yard for drying your laundry. There is also a Japanese style sitting area. Bedroom in the loft is cute and cozy. The host Koji-san is friendly and very helpful, he offered to help us make reservation for restaurants too.
A wonderful place with the most thoughful and caring host. From the moment we arrived we felt at home. The converted warehouse is equipped with everything you need while traveling and the owner put a lot of thought into every detail of the inn. It is very cozy with japanese-style beds right under the roof. Everything was perfectly clean.
It is situated so that you can reach all of Shingu‘s sights, as well as the JR station quickly. There were rental bikes available for free.
We would definitely book this accomodation again.
After walking the Kumano Kodo, the free bikes were very much appreciated - Shingu is very bike friendly. The owner was extremely helpful - letting us check in early, making dinner reservations, and even dropping us off at the train station, in the morning.
