I can’t say enough good things about Uogashi 7070 Ocean View. First of all, the pictures on the website don’t do it justice. With its light wood and fluffy white duvets, the room is bright and airy. (It’s a little small, but that’s Japan!) The bed was also incredibly comfortable. The roof terrace offers a fabulous view - a great place to sit and watch the sunset. Even better are the lovely hosts - the kindest, warmest, most hospitable people you will ever have the pleasure to meet! We were picked up from the ferry, offered a ride around the island, dropped off at the Chichu Art Museum, given snacks and a gift… Our only regret: that we hadn’t booked additional nights. We’d stay here again in a heartbeat.

It was very close to the station and ports.
The place was very beautiful and smelled so good. It was also extremely spacious for 3 people and amazing stay to relax and take it easy. The look and feel was stylish and modern and loved the interior design of each furniture.

I solo travelled to Ogijima and stayed 1 night at this place. The house is super clean and very large for 1~2 people. The place has every facilities you’ll need, the bed is really comfortable, and the bathroom is also nicely equipped. Ocean view from the balcony is great as well.
Apparently the owner took great care of this place. He greeted me upon arrival and introduced me to the house nicely.
The island itself is super quiet during the night. You can enjoy the serenity after most of the tourists took the ferry back in the afternoon. I enjoyed walking along the narrow streets and playing with the cats. The vibe is magical and healing and the one night stay on the island is definitely worth it.

This was a lovely apartment with all the amenities and a strong life saving AC that helped us survive the Naoshima heat.
The location is great, conveniently located just outside the city bus stop and opposite one of the best (if not THE best) Okonomiyaki places we’ve ever been in Japan.
Great place to stay for a night on the island, easy walking distance to Port and Benesse House. Host picked us up from ferry and was super welcoming and helped us with bike rental. Well equipped and comfortable space for a short stay and beautiful to wake up by the sea.
Great studio style apartments with everything you need! Hosts were excellent when we needed them and the electric bikes were really just the best. Location uphill from town but close to the conbini and no issue to get to. Kitchen facilities were a bonus too
Like the others said before - this is the PERFECT place! It feels so much more than a rental apartment, it really feels like home and has EVERYTHING you might need! Next time we’ll stay even longer - Naoshima is a wonderful place to unwind!

We booked this place during a busy time in Naoshima and we’re happy they had availability. It offers an entire apartment for the price of a hotel room. And we had free rental bikes. We couldn’t have been happier.
Beautiful clean and modern apartment. Location good with our own car and free parking. Ramen noodle shop next door was excellent. The owner was friendly and helpful.
Very nice modern apartment, with roof terrace and seaview (take a morning dive!). The host was very helpful in supporting with restaurant reservation and renting a bicycle, as we were in busy period.
Its good for two nights to stay for the Triennale. Apartment with kitchenette is convenient. good beds. air-conditioning.
