Everything was perfect! Pier Nicola was the perfect host. He did so much to help us and made us feel very comfortable. He was kind and friendly and pleasant. We would have loved to stay there a few more days! The location was also perfect!

Melfi was not on our initial itinerary in Basilicata. However, two factors made our visit an unforgettable one: the first was the rock church of St. Margherita and the second, our stay at the Lo Stemma guest house. George Umbrino was the most responsive, accommodating and caring host we interacted with in the region. The apartment is in a nicely renovated 16th century house in the old town, a few steps from the cathedral and the bishop's palace. George met us in person, helped us to settle, recommended places to have dinner, and helped us to arrange the visit to the rock church. Strongly recommend him and his place to everybody who is interested in visiting Melfi.

Excellent apartment, renovated, stylish and a great design, very well equipped (including coffee machine, dishwasher and washing machine). Additional cleaning during 5 day staying was a bonus. Central location and possible to park the car in front of the apartment most of the time.
This bright, pleasing apartment in the heart of Venosa is spotlessly clean, comfortable and welcoming. It’s on two levels and is simply and tastefully furnished. The owner is friendly and very helpful. this is our second brief stay and we would definitely choose this accommodation again.
Great location. Right in the centre of Venosa so everything is within walking distance, but you can also park for free close by. Full kitchen facilities and washing machine, felt more like an apartment with all sorts of options provided for breakfast. Luciana is a great hostess and provided invaluable help in arranging a visit to a nearby church (my Italian is very limited).
Exceptional place that could not have been any better. The apartment that I stayed in was refurbished and taken care of with love. It was clean and spacious with a lovely balcony looking out on the fields beyond the city limits. The kitchen is comfortable and well-equipped. It is very enjoyable to cook there. The host is always available if you need help. I definitely would have stayed longer if the itinerary allowed it.
We had a very warm welcome from the host and his daughter who secured parking for us outside the apartment which opened onto a beautiful Piazza in the heart of the old town. They recommended an excellent restaurant for dinner and made sure we were settled in and comfortable. The apartment was charming with curved brick ceiling and was well equipped. Breakfast is at an adjacent cafe/bar.Venosa is a lovely old town complete with castle and roman ruins
Excellent and very well equipped, clean and convenient apartment. The hostess was incredibly friendly and nice, location is fantastic with the astonishing view of the Castel.
The apartment was immaculate. There was a great view of the castle from the bedroom window. We were able to keep our bikes inside so that they were safe.
