WOW! Simply WOW! My family travels a lot and we've stayed at Rental Properties all over the world and Chalet Berna was the best place we have ever stayed. The property is immaculate with numerous small details and touches that can't be captured in photographs. Every drawer and cabinet has built in lighting and the bathroom mirror is equipped with bluetooth and a sound system. There is so much more! The Chalet is one of luxury and comfort. It might seem small on paper, but the way the Chalet is laid out, furnished and designed, the property feels spacious and comfortable for a family of 4 with two kids ages 13 and 8. The property was built and designed by the owner Paulie who was the most generous and gracious host we have ever met. We got in late our first night and he called his brother to open his market after hours and we were able to pick up some food and wine. We enjoyed Paulie so much that we invited him over for dinner and drinks and he shared some family stories and we learned so much about the Dolomites and the culture there. He helped adjust our itinierary with some local tips. We did not want to leave and this was a place I could see myself living in for the rest of my life. It truly felt like home. The expansive deck leaves plenty of room to sit and relax with a nice bottle of wine watching the sunrise or sunset over the Dolomite mountains. The Chalet is walking distance to the Secede Gondola as well as the Gondola to Alpe Di Susi. We truly found a hidden gem with this property. Having visited Switzerland, Norway, Denmark, Austria, Portugal, Madeira, Tahiti, Fiji, Bahamas, and England, this Chalet ranks at the very very top. In the beginning, Paulie was our host, by the end, he was our friend. We cannot wait to return and I partly didn't want to share all the amazing things about the property in fear of it getting booked up, but Paulie's craftsmanship and warmth should be recognized and appreciated by all.

Location is excellent - very close to Seceda cable car. Also very near the center of Ortisei - the shops and restaurants.
Fully equipped kitchen. The apartment is recently refurbished, with some very cool vintage pieces (the old stove integrated in a modern kitchen). Apartment itself has 2 bunk bed bedrooms, one master bedroom, a living room and a kitchen. There were three of us, but it could easily accommodate 6-8 persons. Parking is available in the yard. Internet connectivity was great. The host (Mattia) was very welcoming and responsive.

We had a wonderful stay, beautiful location and facilities. Our studio apartment was so relaxing and comfortable, we were able to sit on the terrace, we entertained guests and were able to cook in the very well equipped kitchen. We would certainly love to return some day!
We stayed two adults and one teen in a very spacious apartment. The location was great and only a 5-10 min walk to restaurants, supermarket, lift and bike rental. Well equipped kitchen and two modern bathrooms with showers. Perfect location for our short summer holiday break!
Hotel right in the beginning of Ortsei. We booked a studio apartment. It was quite spacious, well equipped and maintained. View from the balcony was very good. Bus stop is right in front of the hotel and hotel provides you public transport card. Scherlin family was always available for any requests.

They provide slippers and shower gels and shampoo. Bring your own toothbrush and toothpaste, but I guess these are usually not provided in apartment booking in Italy. They have utensils if you want to cook and dine in. Wifi worked well. The location is walking distance to nearby cable car such as Seceda and Mount Seuc and bus stop.
The studio was fully equipped with everything that you might need for a short stay. The place was clean and comfortable and we enjoyed our stay.
It is conveniently situated at a 10-15 mins walk from the city center however it’s up a steep hill.

Monika was very helpful with getting us into the apartment, showing us the laundry, providing recommendations and general advice about things to do in town. Apartment is very clean with comfortable beds. I highly recommend the apartment if you are doing a short stay in Ortisei.
Super tidy and clean. Excellent kitchen facilities . Also good value for money- other apartment with similar price is only half size of this one! Staff very responsive and friendly (through WhatsApp / email correspondence).The apartment is not exactly at the core of the town, walking distance of 5min from the bus station is needed but it does not bother us because all road is flat and no slope and there is a supermarket on the way back so it’s just nice to do some grocery shopping. Overall super recommend!
