Oh my gosh, this place was amazing! Central Air conditioning which I never see outside of North America and I’ve travelled a lot. Very clean and big! Bathroom is awesome and the shower is a nice size. Love that there’s a pull out couch as my partner has sleep apnea so we need to sleep separately. It’s one of the best places I’ve stayed. It’s a short 5 minute walk or less to Sassi. It’s accessible for big suitcases (there a part of the several staircase that is like a slide) and has an elevator. There’s a parkade nearby for 20 euro a night, but in another add of a hotel nearby, they said there was one for 8 euro a night. The manager was so helpful and nice and gave me the number for a taxi and a cheaper option for a hot air balloon ride. She also told me that the train station was near (about a 5 minute walk). The bus station is about a 27 minute walk or 15 euro taxi.

The apartment is quite well situated next to the old city, within very easy walking distance (maybe 5 minutes). Franco, the host, met us, showed us where to park our car, showed us around the apartment and how to operate the facilities, and was quite welcoming and informative. The apartment is large, with a lovely bathroom, 2 bedrooms and balconies off each, as well as a balcony from the main room. Views to the old city are available from one of the bedrooms. Everything was very clean, and it was apparent that the hosts take pride in offering an exceptional place to stay.
Franco's wife made lovely little cakes for us, and there were other toasts, jellies, honey, milk, juice, etc.

It was a beautifully decorated modern apartment with lots of space and bathrooms for every bedroom. The air conditioning was a godsend in the heat so we slept very comfortably. It was far enough out to get free parking out the front of the building while only a 15min stroll into the centre of Matera old town. I would stay there again! It was perfect.
Angelo did us a favor by letting us check in early. The apartment was very spacious and clean and in great location, 5 minutes by walk to the Sassi di Matera.

a lovely touch, as was breakfast in a cafe nearby. Parking on the street wasn't a problem
This suite was gorgeous! It was essentially a mini apartment (without a kitchen etc). The main bedroom is large with a small balcony that overlooks part of the Sassi. The second room has a small lounge area with a desk, a couch and two beds up in the loft (we didn’t use these). Everything was super clean and the suite was very comfortable. The view from the communal balcony was amazing and we had an unforgettable front row seat from it for the fireworks display on the 2nd of July. Highly recommend !

It was also incredibly clean and fresh! We also enjoyed the extensive array of guide pamphlets available in the accommodation making our short stay in Matera as convenient and efficient as possible.
This place is outstanding. The apartment was clean, spacious, furnished in top quality and the breakfast was amazing. Also the fridge was filled with beverages and fresh fruits. The friendly owner gave us recommendations what to do and how to explore Matera. The location of the flat is perfect because you are in the historic town within 10 minutes by feet and its quiet on the other hand. Parking on the street was not an issue at all.
Maestranze is located about 15 minutes from the city center (Sassi). This newly renovated, modern apartment is set in an old building without an elevator (which might be challenging for an older person). The air conditioner is located in the living room. The apartment was very clean and has free parking right in front of it.
Everything was great, thank you very much to our host who gave us a warm welcome and a local delicassy. We loved the big spacious apartment, it was very clean and had everything we needed for our short stay. The location very near to the Sassi di Matera and a walking distance from the train station. All in all, everything was perfect.
