This is a great size for an apartment and made a change from the usual Icelandic accommodation. The furnishings and decor have gone full circle from 'old' to 'funky retro' but everything is clean and working.
Although this is away from the main village (due to the avalanche in the 1990s) there is a fantastic park just behind the apartment block. And it is only a short drive to Ísafjorður (Tjörhúsið is a must for every visitor to the West Fjords)

Excellent location in a quiet corner of Ísafjörður. The Westfjords is one of our favourite places in Iceland and it's a shame we only stayed for 2 nights. The house has a rich history, although we were very much surprised by the eclectic theme of the house. It feels wonderful to be greeted by towering cliffs after stepping out of the house. The kitchen is very well-equipped and the nearby supermarkets are a great convenience. The apartment is warm and cosy. Bedrooms are comfortable.

It was very cold during our stay and we were so relieved there's heating in the bathroom as well.
There's a supermarket nearby with restaurants. Ísafjörður is only a short drive away for more shopping and eating options.
Be prepared the apartment is actually one floor up from the street private entrance. Once you're up the stairs, there's coat hanging space before getting to the apartment. Very nice !

Great value! (for us it was €80/night). Nice apartment and we were lucky enough to have it to ourselves. Room was a bit small for 2 suitcases, but rest of the apartment was really spacious. Nice kitchen and bathroom.

The apartment was spacious yet cozy, and had all the amenities you could need. It was easy to find the house and retrieve the key, and the owner was very friendly and responsive.
