Very cosy quirky cottage full of character. Log burner with plenty of logs provided. Extras such as jam milk & butter in the fridge. Linen cupboard with extra towels bedding etc and cleaning materials. Better than other more expensive places we have stayed in Ireland. Very friendly approachable host.

We were travelling around Ireland and got to the property late. The kitchen pub downstairs had recently closed but the lovely lady at the bar just managed to sort us something out. Five stars to her!

After having a not so pleasant night’s accommodation the night before, this was a delight. Receptionist upgraded our room to a waterfront apartment, soooooo very nice. We booked a second night to stay. Restaurant was appealing & food was good. Shower was fantastic
Leaba on the Lake was the perfect place for our stay in Killaloe. Check in was easy, Ann is a helpful and responsive host, and her apartment is in an ideal location for exploring the town and beyond. We loved the added thoughtful touches of fresh soda bread when we arrived, as well as coffee, milk, butter, and homemade jam. The kitchen is well-equipped and the bed is very comfortable, so we had everything we needed for a relaxing and enjoyable stay.
Ann was a superb host, she had left a few bits of food and drink to get us settled. She popped over to say hello and check everything was ok. I was travelling alone with my baby so she had made sure I had everything I needed in the flat when I arrived - cot, highchair, toys - and even helped me in with the baby and the shopping!
The staff were exceptional. Each person we interacted with went out of their way to make us feel welcome and comfortable. These guys really set a high standard in terms of hospitality, the best out of several top hotels we stayed at throughout our trip. Apart from that, lovely grounds and views of the lake. Great breakfast, one of the tastiest. Amazing room, very comfortable with fantastic amenities. Last but not least, the water slide in the leisure centre. Great fun! Thanks again to all the amazing staff who made our short stay so special!
