Perfect place for a quiet rest. Very clean and comfortable. The pellet stove worked well and was easy to operate. Bonus was a clothes washing machine in the apartment!

First, the location isn't great if you're looking to be within walking distance of anything to do in Athlone. And if you do go for a walk, it's kind of a sketchy neighborhood. That said, I was only there one night.
Inside the apartment is very nice but a bit dark / claustrophobic for my tastes. On the flip side, it's great if you want to detach and sleep.
As for check-in, I never received an email with instructions but there was a man staying across the way who reached out to the owner and he sent him the info. So, the guy across the way knew how to get into my place. I wasn't too worried because he seemed safe, and said he'd been staying there off and on for quite some time. And that he was friends with the owner. So, it may not be anything to worry about, it was just different.
I appreciated the toiletries and snacks although I didn't partake in eating any. There's a large TV if you want to watch a movie. And a gas station nearby if you need anything.

We were welcomed with fresh scones, homemade jam and a bottle of their organic apple juice! After settling in we were treated to a walk around the farm that included a chance to stand in one of the two ancient ring forts in the pastures and have a glimpse at the burial mound. Got to chat about the cattle and the sheep as well. Plenty of food choices for breakfast and even had a taste of Irish field mushroom cooked the “traditional” way…in the microwave. Comfy beds and relaxing places to sit in the living room. A great start to our visit to Ireland.

Great location and the host was easy to reach when i did not look at my messages prior to contacting. We were lucky to find parking across from the stay and was free because it was a Sunday, but i would not have known where to park otherwise.

It was a beautiful space full of personal touches- from fresh-cut flowers to breakfast supplies. The property itself is situated right near the heart of town. The hosts were absolutely fantastic! I honestly cannot recommend this stay enough!
