Amanda and her husband are wonderful hosts who make you feel at home. Everything is well thought. It is very comfortable and cosy. Spacious bathroom, large shower, large closet and chest, all is very handy . The boiler room is the icing on the cake: you can hang wet coats and put away wet shoes. We like it when it is practical and it was! The kitchen is very well equipped. We just loved our stay.

The apartment was spotlessly clean, very well equipped & really tastefully decorated. My husband and I stayed for four nights & honestly we could not find fault with the property. The host Amanda was very friendly and helpful.
Gorgeous little cottage surrounded by fields, garden has flowers and fruit trees, a great conservatory, plenty of sockets and storage, well stocked with everything you need for short stays. Helen was such a gorgeous host! So friendly and kind, she helped us so much on our short stay. Breakfast was gorgeous and the room was beautiful, made even better with a super comfortable bed and extremely soft bed linens & furnishings. We just wish we could have stayed longer! If you are visiting Cavan I couldn't recommend Lacken Millhouse more...we had a wonderful stay made even better by a fabulous host.

The Hideaway is simply gorgeous. So warm and cosy but really modern without ruining the country cottage style.
The host was amazing. Loads of information before we stayed. Simple check-in and check-out. We had bread, milk,cakes and biscuits waiting for us. Also, we left something small but important in the apartment and the host sent it down to us straightaway.
I would stay there again in a heartbeat.
Lovely property , without a doubt one of the cleanest places I have ever stayed at! It’s a great size for a self catering unit and it was great to have our little dog stay with us, he was relaxed throughout the stay. The apartment has everything you need and added extras. It is clear to say that the hosts take pride in this property. If I was in the area I would definitely stay again!
