The house is lovely and comfortable. A very typical greek house made by stones and very well renovated. It is also very well equipped. In the kitchen you can find everything you need for cooking. The house is close to the vulcan and to Nikia village, but I suggest to rent a car to move around the island and to visit the other villages.

The apartment was on the top floor of a large house. The bedroom and bathroom were spacious. There was a small kitchenette with an oven which was fairly well equipped. The real highlight is the large roof terrace with views across Paloi the sea which was a beautiful. It also has a washing machine which is a real bonus if you are away for 3 weeks. It was only a couple of minutes walk down to Paloi waterfront where there were 2 minimarkets, an off license, beach bar and 4 tavernas.

This was an excellent base for exploring Nisyros from, and it's just a few minutes from the main square. We loved the well restored whitewashed apartment, it was actually larger than we were expecting. Plenty of cooking equipment in the kitchen and the owners were very helpful people. Very good value indeed. We counted 14 unused electric sockets!

A stunning place in this beautiful village! If it's peace, tranquility and a slice of quiet village life you're after, then look no further. After an initial struggle to find the place arriving after dark (Nikia has no cars in the main village, so you have to walk there along narrow lanes - and that's part of the charm), the apartment was spacious, spotlessly clean and extremely nicely designed in its new refurbishment. We really didn't want to leave!
