We more than enjoyed ourselves at Mount Pleasant. It is one of the most enjoyable places I have ever stayed, and probably #1 out of all of them if I go back in my mind and look at all the top places I’ve been.
Mount Pleasant is absolutely a little oasis in the desert. I enjoyed all the greeneries. How they were layed out gave us a lot of privacy and the quietness we experienced was beyond comforting. How the villa was layed out with 2 bathroom for the 1 bedroom for guess made it so homely. The place was designed as if it came out of Homes & Gardening magazine.
This place would be my number 1 pick again if I rented again in the Gambia. For the amount we where charge per night, one gets more value for their money than they expect. The hospitality we received was above and beyond…1st class.

By far the best place I've stayed in in the Gambia. The owner, Claudette is great, and so are the staff. Everyone was very friendly and extremely helpful. The location is perfect if, like me, you don't like resorts and want a bit of interaction with the local people. It's a residential area, far from the touts, but close enough to walk to the beach or the better restaurants.
The room is great, with a well accommodated kitchen and a fridge, hot water always running, nicely decorated and a wonderful sitting area. There's also a shop that sells locally made products, like honey, yogurt and shea butter. Profits go to their organization that helps to cure burns on children.

A lovely place to stay. Clinton. Charlie and staff are amazing. Only a 10 minute walk to beach shops and restaurants. Rooms cleaned daily. Felt very secure in accomodation. Nice quiet pool area.

This was a very cozy ground floor apartment with private pool as well as access to the community pool which is steps away. The beach is also steps away and you can sit on the patio and see the ocean view. The atmosphere was welcoming and this location is within walking distance of Senegambia Restaurants and clubs. There is also a Restaurant next door. I just love that the apartment was CLEAN, with nice functional modern furniture. The host was very friendly, accomodating, and responsive to my questions. I would recommend this place especially if you want to feel comfortable away from home.

Very secure and spacious apartment with AC and owner Momodou was very accommodating and quick to deal with any issues.
Ideally, the keys for the security doors could do with numbering to make it a little bit easier and less time consuming figuring out which key belonged to which door.
The apartment was absolutely lovely! and perfect for me and my son🥰 it was like a dream waking up every day, surrounded by the beautiful greenery in the garden, and the lovely dog. Mount pleasant is a place I would recommend full heartedly. It’s supposed all my expectations. The owner of the place was always available to get in contact with. And two workers available for any kind of things that we needed help with. The locals are lovely and always ready for a little chat and laughter.

I had an amazing short stay for an appealing price! Wish I could have stayed longer to relax in this private area! The vibe is very calming with the mango trees and pretty tiling on the terrace floor. Also the painting on the bedroom wall adds that bit extra to the experience. Thought it put into the details at this place and if you want you can experience the real Gambia (the food, fish market, or the beach which you can reach by foot and is not crowded with tourists) with hostess Mamjara. She is very kind and open to help.
