The Host was very responsive to all my inquiries, which was great. And the milk and breakfast goodies were very much appreciated!! The unit is very spacious, and the kitchen was well- equipped, so it was easy to cook our meals. The main attractions on Orkney are all relatively close - about 15-45 minutes depending on where you are going-since the Island is not that big. We liked the location because it was a beautiful drive to get there and was near the water and St. Margaret's Hope for the ferry. You can also walk to the Sands Hotel, which was a great place to have dinner. Our only challenge was that the host sent pictures of where the lockbox for the keys were so I knew it was on a post, but it was a bit hard to tell what unit ours was, and I'm not sure I would have found the lockbox without the help of the neighbor. A better narrative description of which unit was ours and where the lock box is- right across from the door- would have helped.

We loved the location…everything is just around the corner. It was the best airbnb we’ve stayed at during our six weeks in Scotland…had everything we needed, beds were comfy, it was super clean and loved having the washing machine so we could do some laundry. The host was very responsive and it was especially nice that he came to pick up our bags upon checkout at 10 am and held them until he offered to take us to Northlink Ferries later that night (for a small fee).
