The setting was beautiful. The spaciousness of the room, and the overall comfort. I really liked having a restaurant, bar and setting space so close by because the effort to go out and eat elsewhere was challenging with the state of main road to the property.

A lovely cottage to spend a few days in! Close to the Old Man of Storr and the Quiraing so the perfect location for exploring Skye whilst enjoying the peace and quiet.
We stayed in January when some of the roads were icy but the track up to the accommodation from the main road is short and flat so very easy to get to.
The accommodation itself was beautiful and had everything we could need and the owners were very helpful.

The location of the apartment was absolutely phenomenal! The apartment was a great home base for hiking and all our Isle of Skye adventures letting us stay closer to hikes and nature without being too far away from restaurants and a grocery store. The apartment was beautifully stocked for our arrival and we definitely made use of the warm loaf of bread, cereal, milk, and OJ left for us. Having a small stovetop and oven made it easy to be self sufficient making hot breakfasts and enabling us to easily pack lunches.

The best part of this property is it’s very convenient location to our destination, the Old Man of Storr hike. Our goal was to make it to the top by sunrise, and because this place is located less than a 10 minute drive from the parking lot for that hike, we were successful. We unfortunately arrived when it was dark and left before it was light outside, so we were unable to take in the fantastic views that surround the property, though we could make it out slightly in the darkness. Simply stunning location.
The beds were comfortable. The place was clean. The homemade bread and jam that was provided was delicious and much appreciated. It gave us the extra boost we needed to make it to the top of the hike.
Though we didn’t need it, it was nice that there was a washer provided. Perfect for those who are backpacking and have limited space.
We were a little confused about where the lock box was with the key. Here are some tips: Please know that if you’re checking into the House portion of this property (not the apartment) you park in the driveway that is off to the left and down a small hill next to the house. Owner suggests you back in. You actually walk through the front door first, which will bring you to an alcove with two doors, the house portion on the left and I believe the owners portion on the right. The lock box is on the left inside that alcove. Hope that helps.

Big apartment with almost all the facilities we needed. The host was very nice and polite. We received a warm welcome with a good intro to the area. It's close to the Quiraing, so if that is part of your itinerary then it's a good location as well.
Exceptional, enjoyable break on Skye. Self catering annex was very clean, very well equipped and with exceptional views. Hosts were on site and couldn't have been more helpful - even providing a delicious, fresh home grown cucumber from the greenhouse! Very good directions were provided prior to our visit, and even the weather played ball. We can't wait to return. Many thanks.

During our one night stay, we can feel the family house is full of love and caring.

Very comfortable beds, thick, large and soft towels, very well equipped kitchen and apartment, big parking spot right out front door, just the right temperature, comfortable living room sofas, good shower, cute and well maintained apartment.
The lodge is set in a beautiful location. The property itself is really charming and the walkway down to the beach and brothers point make this a really nice place for a short stay in Skye.
We loved everything. Rachel was a brilliant host, as was Flash. The apartment had a view you can only usually dream about. The apartment had every single thing you could possibly need in it and the comfiest bed I have slept in. The apartment was spotlessly clean and very lovely. We are unlikely to return due to Ill health otherwise I would be reluctant to tell people how wonderful this place is so that we would be able to go back any time we wanted. If you get the chance go, it’s not to be missed.
Had a great couple of nights in this amazing house overlooking the loch. Location was great. House was spacious, clean and beds were very comfortable .Loved the shower and the house had everything you need for a great self catering stay. Check in was easy and great communication. Would defo stay here again. A+++++
