The location of the property is great by Audley End house (a magnificent English Heritage property) and just outside Saffron Walden. A parking pass was provided and the parking was near the property with plenty of space for larger vehicles. We walked into Saffron Walden town centre which is full of medieval buildings and about 1.3 miles away. The host was responsive but I didn't need any help after arrival as good instructions were left. She had left some lovely chocolate biscuits, fresh coffee grounds and croissants which were all delicious. The room was very comfy and the facilities well thought out. The heating was excellent as was the shower. The free wifi signal was strong and superquick (330mbs). The smart telly allowed you to log into Netflix to carry on your series where you left off. We were pleased we bought walking shoes as the entrance to the Old School House is across a small green with no path so can be a slightly muddy though we found it charming. There were many rabbits at evening foraging and playing on the green.

First impression as I walked in was WOW, we stay away regularly in various big chain hotels & guest houses but this was definitely at the top for cleanliness space & comfort.
The space was very well designed with good room for hanging clothes, the bathroom was very nice with a great big shower & a mention to the lovely bath sheets with a hand towel & flannel for each of us. All the places we go the towels can be an issue & always only one hand towel supplied so this was a particular bonus.
Plenty of tea, coffee etc with a couple of cadbury chocolate bars & packets of biscuits supplied.
I noticed a couple of plates & cutlery in a drawer for use whilst staying in Fly By another considerate action from the owners.
Wendy & Steve leave you to your own divices but I thought I should introduce myself when we arrived & ask the shortest route to the village pubs we had a lovely chat & they were very kind & helpful

My stay at Stansted Coach House was absolutely fantastic. Matt and Rachel were incredibly kind and accommodating, going above and beyond to ensure I had a great experience. Their communication was excellent—before, during, and even after the stay. They promptly answered any questions and made me feel completely at ease.
The property was cozy, clean, and perfectly suited for a relaxing stay. One standout gesture was Matt kindly offering to take us to the airport free of charge—a truly thoughtful and generous act that made our trip so much easier.

Have used this property before and would be happy to use again. It is in a safe residential area which is important for a solo traveller. Parking on driveway. Accommodation is exceptionally clean, bed very comfortable and the addition of the makings of a continental breakfast is a lovely idea. Hosts respond quickly and are friendly and welcoming.

Saffron Walden is a lovely, historic town with lots of old buildings, interesting architecture, galleries, good restaurants and pubs and great market and shops.
We were transferred to another apartment (flat 11) as there were building works near the original apartment. It was very clean and the facilities were really good. We brought our own tea and coffee but there was some already there if we hadn’t.
A comfortable and clean flat in the very center of Saffron Walden. The apartment was well-equipped and check-in and check-out were straightforward. It’s perfectly located within walking distance to Waitrose, Boots, many lovely cafes and restaurants, the market square and common.
Definitely a wow factor when the lift doors open to this penthouse apartment! stunning place, clean, well furnished, comfortable bed and a great shower! parking and access was easy and the location is good too, being about a 5 minute walk into the centre of town. will definitely stay here again, the next time I’m in Saffron!
