We were looking for somewhere to stop over for two nights and how could we resist somewhere named the Bees Knees? The location just outside Monmouth was perfect for our needs and gave us the opportunity to explore the forest nearby. This extension on the side of the main house/converted barn was cosy and clean, with everything we needed. Comfortable bed with loads of pillows to choose from, good size shower and decent wifi. The lighting efffects were fun to play with and we did actually use them for softer lighting in the morning. We were treated to cake, tea and coffee and there was milk waiting in the fridge. The weather was still good for the time of year so we were able to sit out in the fenced-off garden area and enjoy the view. We didn't use the full kitchen, but we could have easily cooked for ourelves if we'd been staying longer. Our hosts made it easy to get the keys and when the electricity briefly failed were really responsive. We very much enjoyed our stay and would highly recommend to anyone looking to be in the area for a few days.

Beautiful place, very spacious but cosy, decor was really lovely. Perfectly clean, very comfy bed, warm shower and heated bathroom floor. Check in was really easy and communication was great (helpful directions). Tea, coffee and bottled water provided which was a nice touch. We had a fantastic stay and would absolutely return

We stayed for 3 nights and it was exceptional! Check in was easy, just arrive and retrieve your key from the lock box. We were delighted to find some bubbly and snacks after a long drive. Very clean and beautifully decorated, you can tell a lot of thought went into everything. We had the best nights sleep on a very comfy bed. The apartment came with everything you might need, a hair dryer, iron, fan, electric radiator and even some capsules for the washing machine. Raymond and Neil have done a wonderful job. We will definitely be returning.
