Really responsive host who quickly helped us out at last minute, late in the evening. He was also kind with the arrangements and providing for us. The place was very handily near the river and centre, just a short and lovely 10 minute walk along the river. Good facilities, had everything we needed, ideal.

The aparment was warm and clean and nice to stay at. The hosts has some lovely touches - like tea, coffee, milk, sugar, bread and agges available. There is a bath (as well as a shower) and it was lovely to have a warm bath given the nip in the air outside. There is an adequate collection of crockery and cooking implements. The location is great. Recommended for anyone who is looking for a self catering break.

Exceptional standard of cleanliness, beautiful Scottish country estate location, and very kind, attentive host. We had a fabulous stay at The Mews over the New Year period. The flat was very warm and comfortable and we had everything we needed. Beds were superking sized in 2 rooms and 2 singles in the 3rd room. Beautiful soft feather pillows, luxurious toiletries, and soft thick fluffy towels. Tea and coffee were also provided, and the estate and nearby woods were exceptional for dog walking and wildlife spotting. We were even lucky enough to see an aurora borealis display on our last night which was enhanced by the dark sky location. We will definitely be back. The Dalswinton estate is really quite special.

Beautiful little apartment and very comfortable. You can hear the church bells but thankfully, they don't ring all through the night! Very comfortable. A quiet local area but with plenty to do for a couple days without a mass of tourists everywhere.
Gorgeous property! Truly a garden studio and this was the perfect time of year to be there, with everything in bloom. The apartment is very new with beautiful new fixtures and appliances. Very convenient to Dumfries.
This comfortable and spacious apartment is attached to a magnificent old home set in a beautiful garden. The host was very friendly and the apartment was well equipped and very clean.
The studio was lovely, very clean and the bed was extremely comfortable. The wet room was excellent and the kitchen was really good size. The studio is in lovely quiet location. We didnt get benefit of enjoying the gardens due to the time of year and bad weather but they look like they would be stunning in spring/summer. We will definitely be back and would not hesitate to recommend this lovely studio.

Lovely main house grounds to explore and very picturesque
The Garden Studio is unbelievable. It's a very large one-bedroom apartment with a fantastic wet room and a fully equipped kitchen. The hosts are lovely and welcoming. The garden is more of an endless domain with a thousand paths and trees, words can't do it justice. Super dog-friendly with obviously loads of outdoor space (not fenced in). Probably one of the best properties I've stayed at, definitely the best in my UK selection. THANK YOU Kate & Ian.
