Highermead House was one of the less expensive places the GPS showed reasonably close to Tintagel (King Arthur's castle) so we booked it without high expectations. Boy, were we surprised, starting with the nice confirmation note Kasey sent.
The GPS took us to a tiny gate in a very narrow tree tunnel. But a few yards further is the wide entrance with lots of parking around what will one day be a fountain (once the outside is renovated). Jon greeted us and took us through a large, beautiful, warm and welcoming, sitting room to a very nicely decorated room that had everything we'd need - microwave, fridge, dishes, table and chairs, lighted mirror in the bathroom, nook in the shower for shower gel. Without having met Kasey, I knew immediately it was her work. She had put some serious thought and effort into it. Later she told me she put everything in it that she would want.
Thank you, Jon and Kasey, for being so warm and friendly and having such delightfully fun boys. We couldn't have picked a better place to stay!

THE ANNEX, Lostwithiel Small Double Bed, Private Parking, Quiet Location is located in Lostwithiel, just 22 miles from Newquay Train Station and 1.2 miles from Restormel Castle.
Comfy and welcoming 2 bedroom Annex. Is located in Padstow, just 22 miles from Restormel Castle and 22 miles from Tintagel Castle.

The property is stunning. Adequately furnished for all your needs. 1 double bedroom, I single both decent size. Bathroom has a shower and there is a “chill out” area in the centre of the property. The kitchen has everything you need should you wish to stay in. Perfect location with a Tesco a few mins walk and to Padstow , the walk was about 10 mins. There is a bus stop close by. Free parking which is rare in Cornwall so that’s an added bonus!

We had two separate apartments (between 8 of us) and they were enormous! Very comfortable, well equipped, in a beautiful old manor house on lovely grounds.
